Established in 2021, the Bear Divide Banding Station aims to operate as a long-term avian monitoring program and collaborative research platform for the study of thousands of avian spring migrants utilizing the Bear Divide mountain pass each Spring. The Banding Station is building a dataset to assess temporal changes and trends in migratory bird population dynamics and physiological condition, while embedding educational and outreach components into its research.
